Summer Comes and Winter must Fly...

Yes, that is a line from Inook and the Sun. I can't help, but do a little shameless self promoting.
Speaking of which this is the closing weekend for the show! So if you want to go get your tickets soon! The shows on Friday and Saturday are at 7:30 and on Sunday there is a matinee at 2:00.
I hope people can come!

Anyway, since I'm doing some self promoting I may as well give some updates!

First of all I'm currently interning at the Fenix Theatre Company (I also may or may not be posting this on the job). I'm helping with fundraising, which admittedly not my thing, but alas her I am. I'm not getting credit for it school-wise, but the experience is definitely resume worthy. Along with this internship I will be taking 16 credits this summer so I can graduate in Fall of 2011. This shall be interesting...

Also, speaking of resume worthy I was cast as Julia's understudy in USM's fall production of Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Tenor. Yes, yes it's not an official main stage role, but we get an understudy performance and it IS resume worthy which makes me quite happy.

I will also be doing Dramaturgy for the Student Performing Artists' (SPA) show, Bug by Tracy Letts (Directed by my very good friend, Desiray Roy) and the department show Airswimming by Charlotte Jones (Directed by an awesome professor, Meghan Brodie). I also plan on auditioning for Bug so I shall be a very busy lady come September. On top of all this I am now an Officer for SPA (Student Representative). This means I will be going to faculty meetings and basically being the voice of the students.

This is all for now, but I shall continue updating.
Stay strong, fellows.

Cheers,
M.E.J.
