Call Backs and Casting

It is a happy day indeed!
I recently auditioned for the spring show at USM, "Inook and the Sun" directed by Dr. Assunta Kent. The results involve the following story:

The audition went well. I left happy and feeling fairly confident.
The next night I was sticking around the lobby waiting for callbacks to be posted. Low and behold I got called in to read a part. I was surprised because I wasn't there to audition, but, gladly I went in, read, danced a bit, and left.
The next day I got an official call back. I was very excited by this point and my confidence level was getting higher. The callbacks took nearly four hours. Everyone left tired and cranky, hoping that they would get a part.
Today I went to school to check the results and....I'm in!!
I got the part I wanted: The Spirit of the Dream. That is the one that I felt mostly comfortable with when cold reading. She's an omniscient spirit who's coming foreshadows Inook's father's death. It's pretty intense, I must say.
It's going to be a good week, guys: ACTF and getting in a show. Ah! I'm so excited. I'll post another blog next week when I'm at ACTF and such.
Cheers!
M.E.J.
